Ryan spent 10 years guiding the legendary waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska, honing his skills at one of the world’s premier fly-out sport fishing destinations—Tikchik Narrows Lodge. His work took him deep into some of the most remote and pristine river systems in the state, including the Nushagak, Togiak, and Kulukak rivers—each offering once-in-a-lifetime fishing opportunities.
During his time in Alaska, Ryan guided anglers in pursuit of all five species of Pacific salmon and seven species of freshwater fish. He lived in remote outpost camps, set up on gravel bars accessible only by floatplane—fully immersed in the rugged Alaskan wilderness. Surrounded by breathtaking wildlife and untouched landscapes, Ryan developed a passion for delivering unforgettable guided fishing experiences.
