Winter Steelhead
Steelhead are a species of Salmonid native to cold-water tributaries of the Pacific Ocean. They are a sea-run form of coastal rainbow trout that return to fresh water to spawn after 2 to 3 years in the ocean. Steelhead are often referred by fisherman as Grey Ghosts, because of their elusive and majestic nature. They are an aggressive, battle ready fish that will not give up without a fight. Focus here is December-March on the Siuslaw River. We will be using a variety of techniques, fishing out of a 18′ custom Koffler drift boat. A true fishing experience! Contact us for more information.
